How do I cancel my Methang subscription?

All Methang subscriptions are billed through Apple, so cancelling happens in your iPhone settings — not inside the app.

Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Find Methang in the list and tap Cancel Subscription. (On older iOS versions the path is Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.)

You’ll keep access to your paid features until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. After that, the account drops back to the free tier — your data stays put.

I lost access to my account — what do I do?

First, try resetting your password from the login screen — that fixes 9 out of 10 lockouts. If you signed up with Sign in with Apple, use Apple’s “forgot Apple ID” flow instead; we don’t store your Apple password.

If the email on your account no longer exists, email hello@methang.com from any address and include: your shop name, the rough date you signed up, and the last few digits of your phone number. We’ll verify ownership and get you back in within one business day.

Can I export my data?

Yes. We believe you own your data — Methang is just where you keep it.

From inside the app you can export your items, customers, and sales as CSV files from Settings → Export data. For a complete bundle (including images and a JSON dump), email hello@methang.com and we’ll send you a download link within a few business days.

You can request an export at any time, even if your subscription has ended.

Does Methang work offline?

Mostly, yes. Methang is online-first with a smart offline fallback. Recording sales, viewing items, and adding customers all keep working when your connection drops — anything you record is queued on the device and syncs automatically the moment you’re back online.

A small banner appears at the top of the screen when you’re offline, so you always know what state the app is in. Some features that need a live server connection (sharing an invoice link, downloading a new business logo) will wait until you’re reconnected.

Can I use Methang on Android?

Not yet. Methang is iOS-only for now — we’re focusing all our effort on making the iPhone app excellent before we expand.

An Android version is on the roadmap. If you’d like a heads-up when it ships, email hello@methang.com with the subject “Android waitlist” and we’ll add you.

How do I add a second shop or location?

Each shop is its own workspace, with its own items, customers, and sales. From the app home, tap your shop name at the top and choose Add a new shop. You’ll be guided through setting up the name, currency, and branding for the second location.

You can switch between shops at any time from the same menu. On paid plans you can invite team members to each shop separately, so a manager at one branch doesn’t see the other branch’s data.

How are invoice and receipt links shared?

When you create an invoice or finish a sale, Methang generates a short link that lives on methang.com. You can share it with your customer over WhatsApp, SMS, email, or anything else that takes a URL — they don’t need the app to view it.

Each link is signed with a unique token, so only people who have the link can open it. Customers see a clean web page with your shop branding, the items, totals, and any notes you added. You can revoke a link at any time from inside the app.

Is my customers’ data safe?

Yes — and we take that seriously, because shop owners trust us with information about their customers (names, phone numbers, purchase history).

Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, and our database uses row-level security so one shop can never see another shop’s data even if a request tried to. We never sell data and we never share it with advertisers — see our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown of what we collect, who processes it, and how to exercise your rights under the NDPR.
